It’s incredible what you can create, and how fast, using AI services like Midjourney. Here I experimented with creating a visual to bring to life how cloud technology could improve patient care in the public sector. You can see how the first prompt was so specific the results ended up to vague and generic, and how changing the prompt got to something closer to the right message.

The visual interpretation of a written brief, up until now, has involved a team of people, and potentially significant time and money, supporting a whole industry. AI is likely to significantly disrupt the creative industries, and remove an important bottleneck in the “idea propagation value chain” (see the great article below for more on that). That industry is going to have to re-invent and re-articulate the value chain, learning new skills along the way. After all it takes skill to collaborate with AI, to successfully realise ideas, and create differentiation when everyone is using the same tool. AI won’t be the answer to every brief, but it won’t be long before it is the answer to at least some of them, if its not already!
